Dr. Debashri S is an accomplished Breast Oncoplastic Surgeon currently practicing at Chennai Breast Centre, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She specializes in the comprehensive management of breast diseases, integrating oncologic safety with aesthetic outcomes through advanced oncoplastic surgical techniques. Her clinical interests include breast conservation surgery, management of early and locally advanced breast cancers, oncoplastic reconstruction, and outcomes research in breast cancer surgery.

After completing her MBBS and MS (General Surgery) at Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai, Dr. Debashri pursued further surgical training in breast oncology. She holds an MCh in Principles of Oncoplasty from the University of East Anglia (UK), is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS), and a Fellow of the European Board of Surgery (FEBS – Breast Surgery).

She began her association with Chennai Breast Centre in 2022 as a Fellow in Breast Surgery, gaining extensive exposure to complex breast cancer cases under leading experts in the field. Since January 2024, she has been serving as a Junior Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at the same institution.

She has undertaken observerships and advanced courses in leading national and international centres, including:
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, USA – Integrative Breast Oncology (2025), Tata Medical Centre, Kolkata – Observership in Breast Surgery (2025), Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai – Observership in Breast Surgery (2023), ISOS and ABSI Oncoplasty Workshops – 2023–2025.

Dr. Debashri has several peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations to her credit in reputed journals such as The Breast and Breast Global Journal. She has received several awards for her research presentations, including the Betadine Young Surgeon Award (ABSICON 2024) and Best Oral Presentation (ABSICON 2025).
